Cultivator of Kindness. Wrangler of Kittens. Consumer of Copious Amounts of Coffee.
I could take up a lot of space sharing a list of quirks that make me, me. Some of my quirks would make you laugh, while others would likely result in your denial of knowing me (I may or may not like pineapple on my pizza – gasp!). And the fact that I enjoy rubbing my cat’s belly doesn’t matter to anyone except my cat. But here’s what I do consider important, and relevant, for right here, right now.
Every moment of every day we are given a choice. We can propagate the abundance of hate, division and negativity we see on social media… or we can choose kindness, and change the narrative. Within our own little sphere of influence, we can make a difference for good. We can show someone they matter. We can promote kindness. We can love. We can accept. We can serve. We can forgive. We can help. It doesn’t cost a thing. But the results are priceless.
Here’s what I believe.
I believe we are called to speak up for and to serve “the least of these.” I believe all people are created equal. I believe we are to love our neighbors – all of them, regardless of skin color, political party, or who they love. I believe in Grace. I believe we should be the change. And I believe we can start by spreading kindness. To everyone. Always.
